VIDEO: Host of co-conspirators masquerade as dysfunctional tear syndrome

At Hawaiian Eye 2016, Mark S. Milner, MD, describes an algorithm he devised as a diagnosis-based approach to treating dysfunctional tear syndrome. His approach first categorizes patients into five groups: those with tear deficiency, evaporative disease based on goblet cell deficiency, blepharitis or meibomian gland disease, exposure keratopathy, and finally a group of "co-conspirators" that exacerbate or masquerade as dysfunctional tear syndrome.
