Despite improving treatment, the rate of metastasis of uveal melanoma is not decreasing, possibly due to early micrometastasis of the tumors when they are relatively small, according to J. William Harbour, MD, of Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. At Retina 2016, Harbour presented his thoughts on systemic management of uveal melanoma.
