COPENHAGEN — The honor of the ESCRS Ridley Medal Lecture was awarded this year to José Güell, MD, PhD. The topic of the lecture was “30 years of iris claw IOLs,” the lens invented by Jan Worst, who was a teacher and mentor of Güell. In this video, Güell summarizes the main stages in the development of the phakic iris claw IOL concept and gives advice on how to optimize its use.
