Glaukos reported net sales of $23.1 million in the first quarter, a 57% increase from $14.7 million in the same quarter of 2015, according to a press release.

The growth was attributed to increased use of the iStent among a growing customer base.

Operating expenses were reported at $19.4 million in the first quarter, a 48% increase compared with $13.1 million in the same quarter of 2015.

Net income attributable to Glaukos was reported at $897,000 in the first quarter compared with a net loss of $966,000 in the same quarter of 2015. Diluted net income per share was $0.03 compared with a diluted net loss per share of $0.40 a year ago.
