Quantel receives €3 million tender to deliver ophthalmic laser equipment in India

Quantel Medical has been awarded a €3 million competitive tender to supply ophthalmic laser equipment to military hospitals across India, according to a company press release.

Under the terms of the agreement signed by the Directorate General of Armed Forces Medical Services of the Indian Ministry of Defense, Quantel will provide sixty-one 532-nm Supra with Suprascan photocoagulation lasers for use in 53 military hospitals across India.

“This agreement will put an extremely powerful treatment option in the hands of physicians who treat patients with diabetic eye disease,” Jean-Marc Gendre, CEO of Quantel, said in the release.
