TearLab enters consulting agreement to explore partnerships in Japan
SAN DIEGO, U.S.A. — TearLab has entered into a consulting agreement with Adrienne Graves, PhD, one of its directors, to explore potential partners for the commercialization of the TearLab Osmolarity System in Japan, according to a press release.
“Like in the U.S. and Europe, the dry eye disease patient population in Japan is large and growing,” Elias Vamvakas, TearLab CEO, said the release. “Adrienne’s extraordinary international executive experience, broad network of industry contacts and special knowledge of the Japanese ophthalmic corporate culture make her the ideal person to help us explore commercial partnership opportunities for the TearLab Osmolarity System in this important market.”
Graves has been a member of TearLab’s board since April 2005 and was president and CEO of Santen from 2002 to 2010. Prior to that, Graves spent 9 years with Alcon.
