Glaukos reported net sales of $71.7 million in 2015, a 57% increase from $45.6 million reported in 2014, according to a press release.
Net sales in the fourth quarter were reported at $20.3 million, a 44% increase from $14.1 million reported in the same quarter of 2014. The increases in net sales were attributed to higher physician adoption of the iStent trabecular micro-bypass stent.
Net loss attributable to stockholders was reported at $37.2 million, or $2.13 per diluted share, in 2015 compared with $12.1 million, or $5.29 per diluted share, in 2014.
Operating expenses were reported at $69 million in 2015, a 46% increase compared with $47.3 million reported in 2014.
The increase was attributed to higher personnel, travel and other costs associated with expansion of the company’s global infrastructure and sales organization, the release said.
