Memorial celebration to commemorate life, work of Lorenz E. Zimmerman, MD
Hosted by the American Association of Ophthalmic Oncologists and Pathologists (AAOOP), the Zimmerman Memorial Celebration will be held on Nov. 15, in New Orleans, La., in conjunction with the American Academy of Ophthalmology Annual Meeting. There is now a call for abstracts related to ophthalmic pathology and oncology, and speakers are welcome to acknowledge any of Zimmerman’s contributions in their presentations. All presentations will be published in a special issue of JAMA Ophthalmology. Authors must submit their manuscripts directly to JAMA Ophthalmology by no later than Aug. 31.

The scientific session will highlight Zimmerman’s important contributions to the field.
Banquet: 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Tributes to Zimmerman and his wife will be delivered by AAOOP members and alumni, colleagues and members of the Zimmerman family.
