Alcon repositions North American leadership

Sergio Duplan has been appointed region president, Alcon North America, succeeding Robert Warner, who assumes a new executive committee role as global franchise head, Alcon Vision Care, according to a company press release.

In his new role, Warner will lead Alcon’s global vision care business and will be responsible for strategy, marketing, portfolio development, commercial execution and chairing the global franchise team. He previously served as region president, Alcon Latin America and the Caribbean, the release said.

Before joining Alcon in 2012, Duplan held several leadership roles at Novartis. He previously served as region president, Alcon Latin America and Canada, the release said.

“Alcon has a noble mission of delivering innovative products that help improve quality of life by helping people see better, and our team is uniquely poised to spearhead that mission through partnering with our customers,” Duplan said in the release.
