TearLab reports 28% increase in revenue in first quarter

TearLab reported net revenue of $5.4 million in the first quarter 2015, a 28% increase from $4.2 million in the first quarter of the previous year, according to a press release.

Net loss was reported at $8.2 million, or $0.24 per share on a non-diluted basis, in the first quarter, compared with $5.6 million, or $0.17 per share on a non-diluted basis, in the first quarter a year ago.

General and administrative expenses were reported at $3.6 million in the first quarter compared with $3.1 million in the first quarter 2014. Clinical, regulatory, and research and development expenses were reported at $1.4 million compared with $575,000 in the first quarter of the previous year.
