Eylea US net sales increase 51% in first quarter

Eylea net sales in the U.S. increased 51% to $541 million in the first quarter of 2015 from $359 million in the first quarter of 2014, according to a press release from Regeneron.

The company reported total revenues of $870 million in the first quarter compared with $626 million in the first quarter of 2014.

Non-GAAP net income was reported at $336 million, or $2.88 per diluted share, compared with $263 million, or $2.26 per diluted share, in the first quarter of 2014. GAAP net income was reported at $76 million, or $0.66 per diluted share, compared with $68 million, or $0.61 per diluted share, in the first quarter of 2014.

Research and development expenses were reported at $343 million in the first quarter compared with $287 million in the first quarter of 2014.
