An enhanced BLIS injector system is now available, Bausch + Lomb announced in a press release.

BLIS was designed exclusively for use with the enVista hydrophobic acrylic IOL, a glistening-free lens designed to minimize posterior capsule opacification. The injector system, initially introduced in 2014, now includes a softened and tumble-polished plunger tip that is 2 mm longer, which will help facilitate easier placement in the capsular bag, the release said.

Bausch + Lomb said a number of surgeons and technicians around the country collaborated to enhance the functionality and design of the injector system.
