Akorn has launched a phenylephrine HCl ophthalmic solution, USP, 2.5% and 10% for pupil dilation, according to a press release.

In January, the FDA approved the company’s new drug application for the product.

The 2.5% solution is available in 2 mL and 15 mL fill sizes. The 10% solution is available in a 5 mL fill size and does not need to be refrigerated, the release said.
