Alcon net sales increased to $10.8 billion in 2014

Alcon’s net sales for fiscal year 2014 totaled $10.8 billion, a 3% increase from the previous year, according to a press release from Novartis.

Surgical, ophthalmic pharmaceuticals and vision care sales grew by 5%, 3% and 2%, respectively, for the full year.

Operating income increased 30% to $1.6 billion in the fiscal year. In the fourth quarter 2014, operating income increased 112% to $365 million from the fourth quarter 2013.

Alcon’s net sales for the fourth quarter totaled $2.7 billion, a 2% increase from the fourth quarter 2013.

Novartis net sales increased by 1% to $58 billion in 2014. Fourth quarter net sales totaled $14.6 billion. Operating income grew 1% to $10.7 billion, with $1.2 billion in operating income in the fourth quarter. Net income increased by 12% to $10.3 billion in the fiscal year, with $1.5 billion in net income in the fourth quarter.
