Optos reports 7% increase in third-quarter revenue

Optos totaled $170.6 million in revenue and operating income in the third quarter, a 7% increase from $159.5 million in the third quarter 2013, according to a press release.

Adjusted profit before tax doubled to $18.5 million, compared with $9.2 million a year ago. Profit after tax increased to $8.5 million, an increase from $6.4 million in 2013.

Before tax and exceptional items, basic earnings per share increased to 25.5 cents from 12.8 cents.

Cash flow before financing totaled $29 million, a 176% increase from $10.5 million in the third quarter 2013.

Net debt was reduced by 69% to $12.2 million in the third quarter from $39.4 million last year.
