NEW YORK — i-Optics announced the launch of the Cassini Total Corneal Power functionality at OSN New York 2014. The new functionality is intended to measure both anterior and posterior corneal astigmatism, according to a press release.

The Cassini Total Corneal Power is designed to help cataract surgeons ensure more precise toric IOL power and location, the release said.

The new functionality provides surgeons with data on total corneal power, the steep axis and magnitude of astigmatism.

The Cassini Total Corneal Power can be used postoperatively to track outcomes and surgically induced astigmatism, according to the release.
