Akorn reported $132.7 million in consolidated revenue in the third quarter, a 62% increase from $81.9 million in the third quarter of 2013, according to a press release.

Consolidated revenue was reduced by $39.9 million in costs associated with price increases.

GAAP net loss totaled $11.7 million, or $0.11 per diluted share, compared with GAAP net income of $12.2 million, or $0.11 per diluted share, in the third quarter of 2013.

Adjusted net income for the third quarter was $32.6 million, or $0.27 per diluted share, compared with $16.7 million, or $0.15 per diluted share, in 2013.

Fourth quarter revenue projections are $215 million to $225 million, with adjusted net income per share estimated to be between $0.44 and $0.46.
