LONDON — Centervue announced it will launch two new products at the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons meeting here.

The two new products are Eidon, a true-color confocal scanner, and Compass, a fundus perimeter with the capability of performing standard 24-2 visual field testing while delivering true color confocal images, according to a company press release.

Eidon features true-color, infrared and red-free imaging modalities through a confocal view of the retina and integrated in a pupil-dilation-free system. The scanner also provides high-resolution and high-contrast fundus imaging, enhancing diagnosis and screening capabilities, according to the release.

The Compass features retinal-tracking technology that adjusts a stimulus location based on current eye position, which allows for a reduction in visual field variability and more follow-up examinations, the release said.

“The addition of these devices into the ophthalmic equipage will benefit eye care specialists by providing highest quality in fundus visualization and new tools for the management of glaucoma,” Marco Morales, chief scientific officer of Centervue, said in the release.
