Eleven Biotherapeutics has filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission related to a proposed initial public offering of shares of its common stock, according to a press release.

All shares of the stock in the offering will be sold by Eleven Biotherapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company that is developing protein therapeutics to treat diseases of the eye, although the number of shares to be offered and the price range have not been determined, the release said.

Citigroup, Cowen and Company, and Leerink Swann are joint book-running managers of the offering.
