Iridex is introducing four new products at the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting. The products include the TxCell Pattern Scanning Laser Delivery System, the Iridex MicroPulse Laser Trabeculoplasty lens, single-use 27-gauge laser probes and a GreenTip membrane scraper.

The new version of the TxCell Pattern Scanning Laser Delivery System will be compatible with the largest market of physician-owned slit lamps, according to a press release. The Iridex MicroPulse Laser Trabeculoplasty lens, manufactured by Ocular Instruments and distributed by Iridex, is designed to increase efficiency and precision of MicroPulse Laser Trabeculoplasty for the treatment of glaucoma. Peregrine Surgical-branded, single-use, 27-gauge laser probes are compatible with 27-gauge vitrectomy systems used in retina surgery. The GreenTip membrane scraper, available in 23 and 25 gauges, maximizes visualization against the retina.

“They are prime examples of our ability to identify growing needs in the marketplace and quickly design and launch consumable products to meet those needs,” Will Moore, Iridex president and CEO, said in the release.
