FDA clears Corvis ST tonometer
The Corvis ST, a non-contact tonometer and optical pachymeter from Oculus, received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, according to a company news release.
The device was cleared for tonometry and pachymetry but not for biomechanical response, the release said. This feature is available outside the United States only.
The device uses a high-speed Scheimpflug camera to visualize the cornea’s reaction to an air pulse.
