Ophthalmic Women Leaders will participate in the Women in Ophthalmology Summer Symposium, according to a news release.
The symposium will take place Aug. 9 to Aug. 12 in Williamsburg, Va.
Ophthalmic Women Leaders (OWL) will host a session entitled “You CAN Get There from Here,” moderated by OWL president Jan Beiting, the release said.
“Women in Ophthalmology is honored to host a session presented by OWL at this year’s Summer Symposium,” Carolyn Anderson, MD, Women in Ophthalmology Summer Symposium program chair, said in the release. “It’s our mission to provide symposium participants top-quality education and growth opportunities. Having worked with OWL in the past, we are confident that its special presentation will help us realize that mission.”
The OWL session will include three sections: developing your leadership position, demystifying the path to the podium and negotiating your next step.
The annual summer symposium offers leadership programs, scientific and practice management education, and networking events to clinicians, researchers and other ophthalmic professionals, according to the release.
Registration for this year’s symposium will remain open through Aug. 2. Additional information is available at http://www.wioonline.org/index.php/meetings/59.
