MADISON, N.J. — Bausch + Lomb and Ista Pharmaceuticals have received early termination of the required waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 regarding Bausch + Lomb’s pending acquisition of Ista, according to a joint press release from the companies.

One of the conditions for completing the transaction will be satisfied by the early termination of the waiting period.

The acquisition was announced in March and is expected to close during the second quarter, subject to closing conditions including approval by Ista’s stockholders.
