ERLANGEN, Germany — Revenues for WaveLight totaled approximately Euro 41.3 million for the first 6 months of its 2007-2008 fiscal year, a 26% increase over revenues of approximately Euro 32.8 million for the same period of the previous year, the company announced in a press release.

In the Asian sales region, WaveLight Group achieved revenues of Euro 8.3 million, an approximate 68% increase compared with approximate revenues of Euro 4.9 million for the same period of the previous year.

Revenues from sales in the United States totaled approximately Euro 17.6 million, an approximate 52% increase over revenues of Euro 11.5 million for the same period last year. Overall, Euro 8.5 million of the total U.S. revenues was from revenues from Alcon, the majority shareholder of WaveLight, according to the release.

In the European markets, WaveLight generated revenues of Euro 8.3 million, an approximate 18% increase over the same period for the prior year.

For the current fiscal year, WaveLight is expecting approximately a 10% growth in sales over the previous year.
