JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Vistakon has launched its Acuvue Advance Plus brand contact lenses with Hydraclear technology, the company announced in a press release.

The Acuvue Advance Plus lens, which will gradually replace Vistakon's Acuvue Advance brand lens, offers improved comfort, clarity and UV protection and employs Vistakon's proprietary ultra-clean technology for improved cleanliness, according to the release.

The lens is available in base curves of 8.3 mm and 8.7 mm at parameters of –0.5 D to -6 D and +0.5 D to +6 D in 0.25 D increments and from –6.5 D to –12 D and +6.5 D to +8 D in 0.5 D increments.

Vistakon plans to discontinue providing Acuvue Advance diagnostics effective Nov. 1.
