IRVINE, Calif. — VisiJet reported revenues of $983,000 in the third quarter of 2004, compared with no revenues in the previous year, the company stated in a press release. The increase in revenue was attributed to VisiJet’s sales of its EpiLift System in international markets. The company received U.S. marketing approval for the device in mid-September.

Net loss for the quarter was $1.5 million, about the same as in the same period 1 year ago, the company said.

The EpiLift System is used to separate the epithelium from Bowman’s membrane for epi-LASIK, the company said. The system is currently being marketed in the United States and in more than 20 other countries, including Korea and Japan, according to VisiJet.
