PARAMUS, N.J. — Topcon Medical Systems has entered into a co-marketing agreement with First Insight, the company announced in a press release.

Under the terms of the agreement, Topcon and First Insight will co-market the EyeRoute and maximEyes product lines, the release said.

EyeRoute from Topcon is a Web-based image management system designed to streamline images and reports from various ophthalmic instruments into a single, secure, digital environment for improved workflow, time and money management; maximEyes from First Insight is a practice management and electronic medical records software program designed to help physicians achieve a paperless environment.

The co-marketing agreement will qualify First Insight customers for discounted pricing on the EyeRoute and will enable Topcon customers to access a free Web link from EyeRoute to maximEyes, as well as preferred pricing on Web links to other Topcon instruments, according to the release.

"We look forward to working with Topcon to strengthen our presence in the ophthalmic marketplace and continuing to provide our customers with innovative solutions," Nitin Rai, president and chief executive officer of First Insight, said in the release.
