TLC Vision posts $6.7 million net loss in third quarter
ST. LOUIS TLC Vision reported a third-quarter consolidated net loss of $6.7 million, or $0.13 per diluted share, compared with a net loss of $22.6 million, or $0.45 per diluted share, reported during the third quarter of 2007, the company announced in a press release.
Net revenues for the quarter totaled $57.5 million, a 17% decrease from $69.7 million during the same period last year. The company's refractive center revenues were down 29% compared with the same period in the previous year, to $28.5 million, due to weakening industry demand, the release said.
Total center procedures for the third quarter were 19,800 a 31% decrease as compared with the same period in 2007.
Eye care revenue increased 5% to $6.4 million due to increased franchises and revenue per franchise, the release said.
