TLC Vision net profit up sevenfold in first quarter
TORONTO — First quarter net revenues increased 22% to $65.2 million for TLC Vision from the same period a year ago, the company announced in a press release.
Total paid laser procedure volume in the first quarter was more than 56,800, the company announced. Same store, year-over-year volume growth of 16% was partially offset by the closing of unprofitable centers and 4% volume growth in the access business. Net volume was up 6% from the year-ago period, the company said.
TLC Vision reported a net profit of $8.1 million for the quarter, compared to $1.1 million during the year-ago period.
