O'FALLON, Mo. — Synergetics USA unveiled two products for the vitrectomy market — VersaVIT and the Ultimate Vit Enhancer — during the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting, according to a news release.

VersaVIT is a vitrectomy machine.

"We believe VersaVIT represents a new concept in retinal surgery," Dave Hable, president and CEO of Synergetics USA, said in the release. "It features a complete system in an under-25 pound package that is capable of running on battery power and gas cartridges."

The Ultimate Vit Enhancer is a high-speed vitrectomy cutter that will work with other top vitrectomy machines, according to the release.

"We believe the higher cutting speed will allow retinal surgeons to make more precise and smoother cuts on the delicate retinal surface," Mr. Hable said in the release.
