Symposium to expand next year
LAS VEGAS — Next year’s Ocular Surgery News Symposium here will be expanded from 2 days to a 3-day format, one of the symposium’s course directors said at this year’s meeting.
Louis B. Cantor, MD, said that the expanded meeting will include topics on other areas of anterior segment surgery, in addition to glaucoma.
“Thomas W. Samuelson, MD, said here today that the world of glaucoma includes a lot of different things,” Dr. Cantor said. “So we’ll play off of that and see where we go.”
Dr. Cantor said that next year his co-course-director, Richard L. Lindstrom, MD, will moderate sessions on cataract and refractive surgery.
“He will bring with him an outstanding faculty. … This will be another outstanding meeting,” Dr. Cantor said.
Next year’s meeting will be held June 8-10 at the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
