Reza Dana, MD, receives ARVO’s Cogan Award

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology named Reza Dana, MD, MPH, as recipient of its 2003 Cogan Award. Dr. Dana was recognized here during an awards ceremony for his research in the area of corneal and ocular immunology.

The Cogan Award is named in honor of David G. Cogan, MD, a National Eye Institute scientist and a pioneer in neuro-ophthalmology. Each year, the award recognizes a researcher under the age of 40 who has made important contributions to research in ophthalmology or visual sciences.

Dr. Dana is affiliated with the Schepens Eye Research Institute in Boston.
