Revenues for eyeonics increase 88% in second quarter

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. Second quarter revenues for eyeonics totaled $8.1 million, an increase of 88% over the $4.3 million in revenues for the second quarter 2006, the company announced in a press release.
Revenues for the first half of 2007 totaled $13.6 million, an increase of 62% over the $8.4 million in revenues for the first half of 2006, according to the release.
The company's crystalens accommodating IOL has now been implanted in more than 75,000 eyes worldwide, the release said.
