OWL announces changes in leadership
BODEGA BAY, Calif. Ophthalmic Women Leaders announced that Jan Beiting, principal of Wordsmith Consulting, has succeeded Pamela Gleeson as president, according to an organization press release. Marsha Link, PhD, has been named vice president/president-elect.
Ms. Beiting is one of the four founding members of Ophthalmic Women Leaders (OWL) and has been actively involved with the organization for the past 8 years.
Dr. Link serves as principal of Link Consulting and specializes in executive coaching, leadership development and strategic planning, the release said.
OWL also announced that Georgette Pascale, president and CEO of Pascale Communications, has joined the executive committee as board secretary. Susan Benton, executive director, Business Development, Global Pharmaceutical Business, Bausch + Lomb; Laurie Brown, administrator, Drs. Fine, Hoffman & Packer LLC; Julie Speed, director of marketing, IOLs and Refractive, Alcon Laboratories; and consultant Susan Zajfen have been added as new board members, according to the release.
