THOROFARE, N.J. — Ocular Surgery News is pleased to report record-breaking attendance at its annual educational symposium, OSN New York. Now in its 18th year, OSN New York surpassed its highest records in attendance, exhibits and industry sponsorship. The meeting brought together nearly 350 ophthalmologists from 41 states and 11 countries — a 22% increase in attendance from 2008 — and the exhibit hall was sold out with 22 participating companies.
"In these tough economic times, physicians, exhibitors, and industry have been forced to carefully select where they put their time and resources — and OSN New York has built their trust over the years as a quality experience for all," said Joan-Marie Stiglich, ELS, senior vice president of SLACK Incorporated, publisher of Ocular Surgery News.
OSN New York introduced a new 3-day format in 2009, which offered attendees an expanded and more engaging program.
"I think we can attribute some of this year's success to the program enhancements we were able to make with the new 3-day format. We offered more credits, new and expanded topics and an overall better meeting experience. This year's overwhelmingly positive outcome has me already looking forward to OSN New York 2010," said Richard L. Lindstrom, MD, OSN New York course director and Ocular Surgery News chief medical editor.
OSN New York 2010 will be held November 19-21, 2010 at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers in New York City. Learn more at OSNNY.com.
