logoOcular Surgery News (formerly IOL Today and IOL and Ocular Surgery News) was created for the pioneering ophthalmologist who had the passion and vision to push the envelope in technique and technology. As OSN celebrates its first 20 years of publication, we are also looking back at the past 20 years of modern-day ophthalmology.

Features that will appear in Ocular Surgery News during 2002 include:

Modern day visionaries. Ophthalmologists have been nominated for this honor by the editorial boards of all editions of Ocular Surgery News. Each special feature will highlight one ophthalmologist and include an interview and description of his or her achievements.

A look back. Our spotlight issues will include an article that offers prospective and retrospective reports on the modern-day ophthalmic industry.

Historical articles. Ground-breaking articles from the past 20 years will be rerun, with the addition of commentary on their historical significance.

We hope you will enjoy our look back at the humble beginnings of modern-day ophthalmology and, at the same time, a look forward to a future destined to include inspiring achievements.
