OIS reports 28% increase in net income for 2006

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Ophthalmic Imaging Systems reported $2.25 million in net income for 2006, an increase of 28% over 2005, according to a company press release.

OIS experienced a 16% increase in net revenue, which was largely driven by sales of its newly introduced WinStation Retina and the WinStation Essential, a company official said in the release.

For the fourth quarter of 2006, net income increased 25% over the fourth quarter of 2005 to total $624,000, and net revenue increased 6% to $4.4 million, according to the release.
