SAN DIEGO — Oasis Surgical announced the launch of a new product line, the Premier Edge Safety Knives, at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery meeting here.

According to a press release from the company, the knives are designed to be safe and efficient and are offered in a range of styles. The knives offer "protection, one-handed operation, clear view of [the] surgical field" with the "blade style printed on [the] handle" and a "ridged handle for non-slip grip."

The designs include a safety stab knife that is 15°, a safety MVR knife that is 20 gauge, a safety crescent tunnel knife that is angled and 2 mm, and safety thin line slit knives in a multitude of sizes, according to the release.
