Moria announced the launch of two new single-use surgical instruments in the United States, United Kingdom and France at the joint meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology.
Designed for rapid corneal graft preparation and manipulation, the Busin spatula has Busin glide capability, a Price hook and a 90° spatula for easy unfolding, simplified graft centration and minimized intraoperative graft manipulation, according to a product brochure.
Featuring nontraumatic tips, the Busin forceps are designed for microincisional use, with distal action and a 20-gauge diameter.
"With the continuing evolution of microsurgical techniques, reusable ophthalmic instruments have become increasingly precise, fragile and expensive to acquire and to utilize," according to product literature.
The single-use products minimize the risk of infection and ensure compliance with current regulatory guidelines, according to the brochure.
