Meeting attendees pause to remember 9/11 tragedy
NEW YORK During presentations on Saturday here at the Ocular Surgery News Symposium: Cataract, Glaucoma & Refractive Surgery, a moment of silence was observed at 8:46 a.m., in honor of the events of September 11, 2001.
I suspect we have a few people here who were closely touched by this tragedy, said Richard L. Lindstrom, MD, course director. Hopefully, we will try to keep this from happening again.
William W. Culbertson, MD, a presenter at the meeting, said to the more than 200 physician attendees, These are very sobering times.
