YOKNEAM, Israel — Lumenis has agreed to pay $4.1 million to Palomar Medical Technologies over the next 1.5 years for royalties on sales of its LightSheer Diode Laser System, Lumenis announced in a press release.

Lumenis also agreed to pay Palomar a 5% royalty on sales of that system and other professional laser hair-removal devices.

Lumenis’ ophthalmic product line posted first quarter sales of $16.1 million, compared to $20 million during the same quarter in 2003, the company announced.
