LCA-Vision reports 34% increase in third quarter revenue

CINCINNATI — Third quarter revenue for LCA-Vision increased 34% over the third quarter 2006 to total $74.6 million, the company announced in a press release. Adjusted third quarter revenue increased 13% over last year to total $66.9 million, the release said.

Revenue for the first 9 months of 2007 increased 22% over the same period last year to total $222.9 million, and adjusted revenue increased 12% to $221.8 million.

Operating income increased 107% in the third quarter to $14.1 million compared with the third quarter of last year. However, adjusted operating income decreased 28% to $7.2 million. Additionally, for the first 9 months of 2007, operating income increased 17% to $39.7 million, but adjusted operating income decreased 19% to $38.7 million, both compared with the first 9 months of 2006.

Net income totaled $10 million for the third quarter and $28.4 million for the first 9 months of 2007. Net earnings per diluted share was $0.51 for the third quarter and $1.41 for the first 9 months in 2007, according to the release.
