LCA-Vision notes net income, revenue reached ‘record levels’ in ‘04
CINCINNATI — Revenues for laser vision correction provider LCA-Vision grew 56% in 2004, to more than $127 million, up from $81 million in 2003, the company announced in a press release. In addition, procedure volume rose 46% to 95,835 procedures for the year.
LCA-Vision also opened seven new centers during 2004, six of which were in new markets. Each center reached profitability “ahead of the 6-month target we establish,” said Stephen N. Joffe, chairman and chief executive officer of the company, in the press release. Same-store revenues increased 35% in vision centers that were open for at least 12 months, he said.
Net income for the group increased to $32 million in 2004, up from $7.3 million in 2003, the release said.
