Ista reports 92% increase in second quarter revenue

IRVINE, Calif. — Net revenue for Ista Pharmaceuticals totaled $13.6 million during the second quarter, a 92% increase compared with the second quarter 2006 and a 33% increase compared with the first quarter of this year, the company announced in a press release.

Specifically, compared with the second quarter 2006, Xibrom sales increased 143% to $9.7 million, Istalol sales increased 32% to $2.5 million and Vitrase sales increased 18% to $1.3 million, according to the release.

However, Ista also reported a net loss of $8.7 million for the second quarter, or $0.32 per share, compared with a loss of $9.5 million, or $0.37 per share, for the same period of 2006.
