MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — Barry Caldwell has resigned as president and CEO of Iridex and as a member of the company's board of directors, Iridex announced in a press release.

The company's board of directors has named Theodore A. Boutacoff as its new president and CEO.

Mr. Boutacoff currently serves as a member and chairman of the company's board of directors. Before Mr. Caldwell's 2-year term, Mr. Boutacoff had served as Iridex's president and CEO since helping to co-found the company in 1989, according to the release.

"Barry has worked hard during his tenure at Iridex," Mr. Boutacoff said in the release. "We wish him the best of success in his future endeavors."
