IntraLase reports ‘record’ first quarter results
IRVINE, Calif. Revenue for IntraLase during the first quarter of 2006 increased 42% from the year-ago period, to $30.1 million, the company said in a press release.
IntraLase said it placed for lease or sale a record 49 lasers in the first quarter, compared with 39 lasers in the first quarter of 2005. First quarter results also include 112,000 procedure sales during the first quarter, an increase of 49% over the first quarter of 2005.
Company highlights during the quarter included signing a deal with Optimax, the United Kingdoms largest laser eye treatment specialists, with 18 clinics nationwide.
