IntraLase reports 41% increase in revenues in third quarter

IRVINE, Calif. — IntraLase Corp. reported third quarter 2006 revenues of $32.3 million, up 41% from the third quarter of 2005.

The increase was spurred by global sales of its fourth generation IntraLase FS laser, the company said in a press release. IntraLase sold or leased 47 lasers during the third quarter of 2006, compared with 34 lasers during the third quarter of last year. Procedure sales increased 59%, according to a press release.

Third quarter earnings per diluted share were $0.09, vs. $0.08 for the third quarter of 2005. IntraLase expects total 2006 revenues to be slightly higher than $130 million and earnings per diluted share to be approximately $0.64, according to the release.
