BOSTON — Integrity Digital Solutions unveiled its new electronic medical records software at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery annual meeting.

Integrity EMR for Eyes uses an adaptable workflow and intuitive interface supported by screens that make the EMR software cost-effective, easy to implement and easy to learn, according to a company press release.

Software features include customizable dashboards to track messages and schedules, a history function that documents a patient's current illness and an image management system for viewing, managing and interpreting images imported from diagnostic equipment.

"EMRs for eye doctors are largely adaptations of existing products from other specializations," Kyle Smith, MD, president and CEO of Integrity Digital Solutions, said in the release. "But now a solution exclusively designed for ophthalmologists and optometrists creates a new choice — software that actually 'thinks' like an eye doctor."

Integrity EMR for Eyes is in its final phase of testing and is expected to be available for purchase in the fall.
