I-Therapeutix closes $15 million in Series C funding

WALTHAM, Mass. — I-Therapeutix has secured $15 million in Series C financing from Polaris Venture Partners and existing investors Versant Ventures and SV Life Sciences, I-Therapeutix announced in a press release.

The company plans to use these funds to commercialize its I-Zip Ocular Bandage in the United States and to develop sustained drug delivery platforms for treating ophthalmic diseases and infections, the release said.

The I-Zip ocular bandage has already gained CE Mark approval and is currently undergoing pivotal clinical testing in the U.S.
