I-Therapeutix changes name to Ocular Therapeutix

WALTHAM, Mass. — I-Therapeutix has changed its corporate name to Ocular Therapeutix, the company announced.

To coincide with the name change, the company has also launched a new Web site, www.ocutx.com.

"The company's new name more clearly articulates our mission in the ophthalmic marketplace as we pursue FDA clearance for our first product, the I-Zip Ocular Bandage, and develop ocular drug delivery therapies," Amar Sawhney, president and CEO for Ocular Therapeutix, said in a press statement announcing the switch.

The I-Zip ocular bandage is currently undergoing clinical testing in the U.S.
